Wedding Fireworks Bristol

As the wedding approaches we want to clarify the use of fireworks in your celebration. Fireworks are a great way to add to your special day, and ending the evening with a spectacular firework display adds that extra bit of magic. However, please follow a few rules and regs when planning your display so that your good intentions do not result in problems. First ask your venue if fireworks are acceptable at their location. Move venues will say yes; however, some venues need to look after their neighboring farms or horses. Secondly make sure you have someone who is acceptable to light fireworks. Remember fireworks should be respected as they are an explosive and can cause injury if not used properly. Your display should be managed by someone who is over 18, sober, and has read the safety instructions beforehand. Finally, remember the legal time frame for lighting fireworks. You can legally light fireworks until 11pm any day of the year. Summer nights can come quit late as the sun sets later and later. Remember to keep an eye on the time and enjoy your display during the legal hours. For more information on firework safety and legality please visit: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/HomeAndCommunity/InYourHome/Escapingandrecoveringfromafire/DG_064665

Bristol Harbour Festival Firework Display

Bristol Harbour festival starts Monday 25th July and continues through the weekend of 29th July- 31st July. The festival will not end with a firework display this year. Instead there will be extended evening events through out the weekend. Venues around the harbour will be offering additional tickets and free entertainment. For more information on the event see www.bristolharbourfestival.co.uk. We are sad to see that the festival is not celebrating its 40th anniversary with a firework display. People we’ve talked to look forward to the spectacular firework display each year. Here’s hoping they bring back the fireworks next year.

London New Years Eve Fireworks Display

As firework aficionadoes we here at Superstars Fireworks respect the fabulous firework displays all over the word on New Years Eve. London did us proud this year. The fireworks were launched from the 135m high London Eye making for an amazing back drop against our nations treasures. At that height London residence could view from all over the city from their balconies or windows.  Last year over 700,000 people came to see the display first hand and over 10 million viewed the spectacular firework show on tv’s all around the world. This year the party was expanded as those attending the event were listening to live music. We have to also give applause to the Dubai firework spectacular and the Sydney firework display. 2011 was ushered in with quit a bang!

The Catherine Wheel

This is the Big Boss Janis visiting The Catherine Wheel Pub/Restausant in the Cotswolds. Janis felt the need to wet the whistle after weeks of restructuring our website.  We at www.superstarsfireworks.co.uk would like to thank Janis for all her hard work and enthusiasm.  What a great name for a pub?

If you see any aptly named places please let  send us a photo.

We’ve been very busy firing loads of new stock. Last Wednesday we had our pre season annual staff firework display setting off all the new stock. We’ve uploaded videos of most of it. Fireworks we tested include.

Attack of the 60ft Octopus ( very loud thunderous shots)

Wild Boar (which as the name suggests was ferocious)

Solar Blitz (crazy long duration and a fantastic finally this one just keeps on going)

The Rage Mega Pack ( 5 large cakes which were all awsome)

Zap rockets (they packed a big punch for a little rocket)

We’ve just had new stock in Including the Absolute rocket packs AWSOME,  SFX,  KING COBRA.

Kimbolton have just supplied us with only 30 packs of their Goliath/ Oxford flash powder rocket packs. We’ve been begging them for these all year as they are excellent rare rockets. I don’t know of any other supplier in the UK who has these in stock.

We’ve also had the KImbolton mixed ground mine packs delivered.

Our shop is now preped and ready for the 2010 season. We are doing an instore offer when you buy any selection box we are giving away a pack of rockets and a pack of sparklers. As well as many other special offers.

Do it yourself firework displays

Why pay a firework company to do a display when you could do it yourself and save money? Professional firework companies have to be well insured pay staff , transport and provide the fireworks. When you do your own display you may only have to pay for the fireworks. For example for a £1500 pound display you will probably only get about £500 pounds worth of fireworks as the display team will have to take out all there costs. If you do your own display you could get £1500 pounds worth of fireworks. So you would get three times the fireworks. With larger fireworks availible these days a display may not be to complicate to perform. You can usually find someone who would be willing to fire the display. You could then either save £1000 pounds or abuy  a hell of a lot of fireworks!!!!

2010 Firework shortage?

Every year firework manufacturers and sales reps often inform us of shortages of fireworks in an attempt to get us to order early! Lasat time it was the Chinease Olympics affecting shipping of explosives.
This year we’ve been informed of new red tape in China plus crazy hot weather there that delayed manufacture. As I write this I can think of four major UK firework companies that have much later delivery dates for products than last year. This could all be nonesense in an attempt to sell more or encourage a rush. I think there must be some truth in these delays plus why would UK firework companies order Large amounts of stock when there is A RECESSION ON and the Pound has been week against the US Dollar all year? Time will tell

Bring back the UK firework awards

From 2003 til 2007 the Fireworks review gave awards to british fireworks and fireworks companies. Such as best garden firework, best cake, best fountain, best supplier best shop and best brand. Kimbolton won the best cake most often with the Lake of Sapphires and their small fountain Glittering Gemstones won best fountain more than once. On the last year Brothers single ignition The Hurcules won best cake. Mainly Kimbolton won best brand until Brothers Fireworks won this award in the final year 2007.

Why not bring back the awards?
